Why are chip engineers able to create circuits at the scale of <= 5nm, while doctors can barely fix or cure anything?

Yes they are fundamentally different, but I think his message is more about the size. Which, I guess is similar in some instances between mech eng. and biology, but in bio, the behavior of the interaction is almost more of a guess because it's chemistry (ie theory) and not magnet lego circuitry

Because biology is more complicated, has more uncontrollable variables, and is more messy in general. Transistors are perfect clean devices, and biological systems are messy with millions of interacting enzymes and cells which fuck up everything.
