Want to do research in quantum engineering, I've heard the most recommended majors to get into this field are Physics and Electrical Engineering, is there any other recommended majors or are these it?

If you are making the devices themselves physics or ee are right. If you want to write algorithms math will probably be the most useful.

Researching room temperature linear-optical quantum computing sounds cool, but Quantum computing and simulation of complex Hamiltonians of physical and chemical structures also sounds fun. Researching error-resistant quantum information processing and computing based on joint entanglement in topology and polarization also sounds interesting. Quantum state engineering using parametric amplification in periodically polled nonlinear structures, entanglement manipulation and processing on a chip is what interests me the most though.

If we are talking PhD, I'd go for Physics. It really doesn't matter in terms of the subject, as you can choose to work with any professors and take any subjects you want. However, in academia there's a slight bias towards Physics as a "more serious" subject, thought it is going away.

Working on LOQC seems to be a thing optical groups are working on - physics seems like a good bet.
