in 100k + years of human existence every single discovery and invention has been by a man, every single break through ever in science was by a man.

Isn't it more likely she has just been politically credited with the work of her husband who worked in the field, rather than her being the 1/1,000,000,000,000 exception for a female scientist who made a an important discovery?
