I did a shitload of theoretical courses (calculus, physics, chemistry, algebra, analytical mechanics, and so on) before seeing anything remotely aerospace, which happened more or less at the second half of the second year of my bachelor. Doing Navier-Stokes at the second year checks out if you spent the first year laying the groundwork.
