I might be fucking retarded for asking this but I honestly cant figure out the answer. I was told we dont consider viruses alive because they cant reproduce on their own.
So, what about mules. They cant reproduce at all, wouldnt they not be considered alive by that very definiton? What about an AI so advanced it was basically a human, is that not considered living?
