A couple years ago I picked up pic attached and learned quantum mechanics. I've since moved onto Shankar and more advanced texts.
Honestly I don't fucking get why people can't do this. You literally just sit down and read a fucking chapter. Read it a couple times if you have to. Do some problems over and over again.
It's rewarding, it's fun, and if you're in STEM it's useful for you're career.
I see lots of people on here and know lots of people IRL who can't fucking learn shit. They're all like "hurrrr durrr who can I learn QM" and the answer is incredibly fucking easy - just pick up a book and spend some time with it. Solve some problems, spend time with nothing but a pen, paper, and your mind.
It's actually very cozy and enjoyable.
Why can't some people do this? Is everyone actually stupid?
