Why has university been allowed to become such a joke? It's common (at least in the UK) for teachers to tell their students with a wink and a nod that university is just a piss take of 3 years where you fuck around and get a certificate for employment. Any British person applying for university with half a brain cell is aware that they're spending £27k to have sex and drink until they throw up for 3-4 years.

What happened to the days of higher education where mentors passed their knowledge and wisdom onto their successors? Now we have boomer leaches straggling onto their easy jobs while raking cash in from naive dumb horny teenagers. Instead of accepting only the best, university now accepts the lowest common denominator. What happened?
