Reminder: even though the planetary model of the atom (109 years old) is dead, it still made some pretty interesting scientific testable predictions. On the other hand, string theory hasn't produced a single testable prediction in 60 years and it currently has zero use cases besides some convoluted schizo math that nobody will ever use in real world situations.
