Have any of you been forced to take a psychometric test? I will apply for an internship and apparently I will need to pass some psychometric tests.
While we are on the subject, have any of you done a STEM internship and have anything to say about the experience?

I did different internships in web and game related companies and one at a company that build missile and gun defence systems for marine warfare ships and there was no psychometric test or anything like that. I would call it BS and would advise you to look elsewhere

You are getting psychometric test, then they will got you corona and then they will autopsy you, for what brain with that performance looks like, because somebody doesn't believe that simple tasks are bullshit on psychometry.

I have verbal memory on human benchmark on 100% percentile, scoring 3 times higher as person bellow me, yet I am completely retarded.

yes, twice.
once for a low level managerial job at a grocery store, and once for a job at a pharmaceutical company.
these tests were practically identical. they ask you the same questions several times in different language/setting and see if you give consistent answers. if you give inconsistent answers they conclude your are lying. either way they draw conclusions about your personality. it's probably all worthless bullshit, but corporations have been convinced it's usefull enough to spend money on.
