Holy shit, that's fucked. Good luck getting a fucking job with "online lab" on your resume. Lab skills are literally the only think companies and unis give a fuck about, anon. For God's sake try to get some lab skills, if you're a chem or bio major. Otherwise, yeah it probably doesn't matter.

What kind of engineer? I mean mechE or civilE is probably fine without labs as long as you're good ad math and CAD and shit like that, maybe programming too. Dunno, I'm not an engineer. Bioengineering, chemE, or even biomedical engineering probably requires lab skills though.

For my electrical engineering labs, we have to SSH into the workstations on campus. It’s amazing how much of a filter this is for students who just can’t figure it out, even with stuff like VNC
