i studied NLP for some time, now i think i have it ingrained in myself, and i see it when people use it, or everywhere in fact. modern advertising and corporate speaking, and also political messages are full of it.
theres bunch of rammifications of it, some stupidly technical and hardly applicable*, but what stuck around onto today are the ericksonian structures of ambiguous communication. like the mcd*nalds "im loving it", i mean whos loving what. yeah you love it, and you do it right now, perpetually in this limbo like present.
*important part of communication is charisma, so some of the people modeled by the NLP guys had already authority and persuasion in them, some of their communication ways were just excentricities, doesnt mean anyone using them will have results
