Well if you don't know how to write code you'll probably learn a pretty common code or retarded code like java.
In there you'll learn basic syntax, structure, complexity, etc.
and you'll solve tasks with these tools.

You'll learn the basics of a language, solve simple tasks using the language's features. etc.. Intro to CS is almost always intro to programming with a few CS concepts, so don't worry if you didn't think you'd learn how to code.
The important part of the class is learning how to break down normal problems into simple programming problems you can solve.

I learned with C++ in my school.
Basic IO, functions, call-by value, call by reference, single arrays, multidimensional arrays, pointers, vectors, structs and classes and some basic sorting and searching algorithms. Did I learn to program? No. I learned how far away I am from being a programmer.

google "x86 opcodes" memorize them all and all their functions start with those who are also in "asm" then you write own compiler in something easy as javascript, and be your own master.

It's just about 86 opcodes with structure that is reptitive, not hard to handle for simple programs.
