‘Scientifically proven’ does not exist. Knowledge of noumenal reality can never be achieved by human empirical research by definition, only neared.

It is therefore extremely worrying to see the term ‘scientifically proven’ being abused and misused every day. Research can be flawed and, worst case, manipulated. The recent Lancet disaster concerning HCQ is a good example.

Because of this use and abuse, the term ‘scientifically proven’ and the authority of science itself is being doubted more and more. This is a worrying scenario, but understandable when you see science being more and more partisan.
