Basically my question is do stars and planets follow a 80-20 Pareto Distribution where 20% of galaxies contain 80% of star systems. I'm interested to know how likely or unlikely it was that we found ourselves on the galaxy of this size(assuming intelligent life have the same chance of forming in all types of galaxies). For example, it may have been highly unlikely that we found ourselves in a galaxy of this size because most star systems are in the massive galaxies. And, if this is the case, could you apply the anthropic principle and say that most intelligent life exists in smaller galaxies, possibly because large galaxies are too tumultuous.
