Plants know they have their seeds spread, because they reconnect underground through their root systems, telling them they have successfully transferred information. As to the stomach acid not burning them, it's either evolutionarily due to some seeds having survived hydrochloric acid, and learning resistance, or an older design, made by their evolutionary master mind, to use animals as transportation vehicles.
