Don't study Data Science, but it's a career to make some money for those studying mathematics and maybe CS if you CS course covers a bit of math and stats.
But honestly it's actuary light version. An actuary can do everything a data scientist does and more.

If you're just after money, going to work as a data scientist after your BA is a good choice.

Easy peezy tools, easy to learn code
There aren't really any gains I can see from learning something at a lower-level
I'm sure many are like me, in that we work at/with universities and almost every university has super-computer clusters which we can just use whenever if we need to run something huge
But I work with smaller datasets in general.

I'd give it about that time too, we're reaching the point where we are finally catching up on data-preprocessing/huge datasets and can basically model everything in the extreme. Quantum computers probably won't have caught up by then (No its not a meme, no matter how much you trust 4chan's and pop-sci mag's take on it, we've barely scratched the surface, single-qbit classifier with data-reuploading is basically baby-shit and its the newest shit we have)
