>>12207026>It's still a subjective boundaryNo its objective, the definition is derived from the physical not emotional, such as with the subjectively defined.
>ignoring all the group selection that went into youNope, that is why I mentioned the unique genetic material that reflects that.
>even every single distinct building block like organs and cellsNope those all have vast amounts of my unique genetic material and are included in the specification.
> If you can do that for these things then why can't we put a boundary around a familyThey are physically and genetically distinct from each other and there are numerous tests you could do to physically and genetically differentiate and separate the members of a family without emotion being involved.
>the rest of humanityEven you can recognize you are distinct from "the rest of humanity".
>well so do the physical laws of the UniverseOnly if you know a way to directly use laws of physics to disprove random mutation to show it is fully deterministic which would earn you a Nobel Prize.
>You claim that your DNA makes you an independent individual because it contains the code to your assembly.I didn't say that at all and that isn't exactly what DNA is, I said you can find measurable physical boundaries that form a distinction between yourself and others through DNA.
>Like for an example a harmless virus alters your DNA permanently. Are you who you were or are you a new personIf you catch HPV, yes your body has measurable changed, your are different than before and even your skin will have different properties. Same applies if you cut off an appendage or get radiation poisoning that greatly affects your organs and changes you.
The universe is one universe and everything in the boundary is part of the universe by definition, but the universe isn't you and you are not the universe any more than the one wart outside your skin with different genetic caused by your HPV isn't you, it is just one small part of you.
