Okay, /sci, hear me out, bitte.
On occasion, over decades, I´ve been able to induce lucid dreams &, you know, fly or jump around beautiful & jaw-droppingly detailed & realistic landscapes, actually experiencing accelleration and the rollercoaster-like joy of it.
Sometimes, I manage to do it just before waking up, by testing like pic somewhat related.
Most of the time, however, it happens on the verge of sleep, be it day or night, while I play around with images in my head. Then, all of a sudden, I "get pointed to" the possibility by a sound in my head. It sounds like the audio feedback loop when plugging your active audio boxes in. An all-encompassing, buzzing, bodily sensation.
If I follow it & "will myself through" it, I suddenly fall through the veil of semi-consious, ragged image projections into a complete sensory simulation, i.e. a lucid dream that I can control, at least for a while.
For the last past year or so, I had been unable to lucidly dream, which I attribute to the overall stress levels brought on by the Global Fuckup, which I suspect most of you will readily admit, but also to my very own, personal lack of peace &/or focus.
Last night, I heard the sound again. This time though, it came in pulses of about (hard to tell, mind you) 2s & about 10s apart. It thus became predictable, so I could wait for the next pulse & "try to break through", which I managed on the 5th or 6th pulse.
Might not be of interest, but this time it was a coastal region with small rocky islands reaching high above the calm sea I was flying about, green and warm. I could feel the sun caressing my back going high above, only to dive right in between those cliffs, skid off the water & pull up again...
Question: has any anon experienced the sound I am talking about & what is the consensus on this phenomenon?
Disclaimer: No drugs.
