Dr Li-Meng Yan is a proponent the theory that Covid-19 was lab made. She's been roundly criticized for her position and her statements censored/ignored American media.
One paper in Nature (and i think this is the most oft cited research) appears to rule that out as a possibility.
Can somebody help me parse out what this paper is saying. From what I can make of it, they seem to be saying that different models that we have would never predict the makeup/design of the observed Covid-19 virus. Therefore, it is highly unlikely that Covid-19 was lab created because lab created viruses must/most likely could be replicated by a model.
Is this the gist of it? If it is, sounds like some pretty shoddy logic and seems to indicate a refusal to entertain the more ominous explanations.
