I've read that some people don't like his treatment of fundamentals in the first 70ish pages (natural numbers/Peano axioms, set theory, and functions) but I don't have much to compare it to. As someone out of undergrad for a few years, I thought these parts helped build back some mathematical literacy/maturity for me, but if you hate it I think you can skip to chapter 5 or so and be on track with a more standard text.
