Fossil Fuels are okay short term but will need to be replaced soon
Solar is great for putting on your roof to put less stress on the grid (aside from the duck curve which might be able to be solved with in home battery banks) but solar sucks for primary power generation, too unreliable.
Wind pretty much universally sucks. It's unreliable, expensive and only partially works in specific locations. Wind energy should be abandoned.
Hydro electric is great but requires very specific geography
Geothermal is also great but also requires specific geography
Until fusion is possible, and it has been 10 years away for 60 years now, fission is the best real option for power generation. Even fission waste has uses in secondary reactors which are just now becoming a reality.
