How do I become a aerospace engineer

Anyone have an idea on what my path through college is. Im 18 in High School in Europe and the only way I see it happening is if I get a job in ESA or other aerospace companies. Just no university in my country has a direction of space/satellite/rocket engineering.

If you can't find a uni with a good Aerospace program. Do Mechanical and take extra fluids classes.

Don't expect your university degree to teach you everything you need to know for your desired career field. No matter what you study, you'll have to learn a lot more once you are on the job. As long as your degree's subject matter is adjacent to the type of work you want to do, you should be able to get a foot in the door and go from there.

Memorize math until you can at least pose as a mathematician. While you are learning this, start studying how rockets function and why they are used. To do that right you need to know about aerodynamics and structural integrity of flying craft. Why must the center of gravity be above the center of pressure on a rocket? (That's your homework for tonight. It's rocket science 101 and you should easily be able to find the answer online.) Bonus task: get a model rocket kit and put it together. If you can't launch it because Europe is full of tards, still build it and built it right. Look into flight simulation programs for all kinds of flying machines while you are studying rockets. You want to have a good handle on trigonometry and calculous if you intend to design and fly a rocket. Get cracking. Those books don't open themselves. (I just revealed my age there.)

Do a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering. You'll have a much higher chance getting a job in the aerospace industry than studying aerospace. Look it up.

You already are behind the curve. Space autism is insanely strong and the guys who get into Aerospace engineering have been obsessing over this field since they were kids. They are not only talented and have been eating sleeping breathing the material for a good decade on you, but they are also willing to work for peanuts just so they can put their hands on the technology. If you are wishy washy about it and trying to get in the field on a whim, I suggest you get a plain ol’ mech E degree instead of leaning into something you are going to get absolutely BTFO in.

actually good advice, do this one OP. I'll add that the most important math for you will be differential equations, and paul's online math notes is a good place to start learning how to solve them.

Aero is a surprisingly big field. Do you want to do structural design? Aerodynamics? Automated control systems? Turbine design?

Not OP, how much of an AE's daily work involves CAD programs? I've read online that much of the work involved is CAD oriented but it varies depending your specialization, what fields use it the least and most?

Have you heard of TU Delft?
It's a technical university in the Netherlands which has a bachelor's in Aerospace Engineering and it's ranked 3rd overall in that course.
It's ranked 78th overall by the times higher education and that course is in English.
After you're done with the bachelors you can go to a masters in Aerospace Engineering.
One question, are you from the EU, if you are then the tuition per year in this uni is 1000 euros which isn't much but it's a highly competitive course and has a tough selection procedure.

Also to add, if you don't want go to the Netherlands then just go to mechanical engineering for bachelors and then for your masters go to aerospace engineering
