>>12195476It's well worth your time to drag the psychology of coping mechanisms into the "race" debate. What people who deny race are usually trying to do is shut down all investigation of human diversity in brain structure because find out that not all brains are equal means not all brains are equal at processing information. This is wretchedly humiliating and triggers a fear in some people similar to the fear felt over other phobias, such as a fear of heights. They try to distract by saying that race is not clearly defined, thus humans must be exactly or if they must, they back peddle to humans are almost completely equal in intelligence. Their is no scientific investigation on their part of differences in human brain structures and certainly no investigation into the real causes of different human groups exhibiting different preferences and behaviors on a regular basis. This is abject fear of truth and every bit as "dark age" thinking as it is to think the sun revolves around the earth or that the earth is flat. These same people tell you they believe in evolution and thus, natural selection but they shut down when you point out that different climates create different selection pressures (as proved by Charles Darwin,) thus different evolutionary paths. While humans have not lived apart long enough to change species, they have lived apart long enough for traits to cluster which were advantageous to their respective environments. Confront every Science Skeptic with this then harshly quiz them on why they don't practice more thorough racial integration if they truly think there are no meaningful differences between humans. Be sure to point out how giddily they cheer the forcing of integration on poor communities while staying well away from the diversity in their own wealthier community. Suggest that their behavior can easily be mistaken for racism and watch them squirm miserably.
