When I graduated as an EE and started a job search in my field of expertise,
most interviewers asked for:
Analog circuit design, digital design, embedded design, PCB design, digital signal processing theory and practice in MATLAB
Literally I sat through multiple gruelling 8+ hour interviews and haven't received a non-shit job offer.
In my frustration I literally applied to 3 webshit jobs .
My entire CS knowledge consisted of what I needed for the EE degree, and the two random electives I took during undergrad, as well as two weeks of doing tutorials.
Needless to say, all 3 places gave me an offer, the lowest of them being about 20% more than the highest I got in EE.
That was the most intellectually emasculating experience of my life.
