What exactly is going on in this field of research? Is it all black budget or just schizo pseudoscience?

I find it hard to believe the pioneer in scalar waves was mad, Tesla was pretty savvy with math.

vector fields that go to zero at infinity (fast enough) can be decomposed into the gradient of a scalar field and the curl of some other vector field, aka the scalar and vector potentials. that is a mathematical statement, no physics.

electric and magnetic fields can be modeled by such vector fields, and thus can be described by scalar and vector potentials.

solutions to the E and B fields given source charges and currents can be formulated. these give rise to E and B waves, which can be described as scalar and vector potential waves.

anything else is pseud-quackery

So the whole Caduceus coil creating some kind of radio wave laser that can be detected is legitimate?

I have been told common lasers are described as scalar waves as well.

There is no such thing as a "scalar wave"
It's a scary sounding term used to convert boomers to UFO nuts. EM waves are travelling EM fields, which are by definition vectors.

Shizo pseudo science. They have 0 logos and small iqs. I find most of their projects amusing in a form of entertainment. They have developed some decent stuff in the computing industry though (For surveillance). Thats pretty much it.
