Lots of pseudo scientific bullshit in there, but it intuitively makes sense if you go beyond that.
Frames feel like a localized (both in space and time) super ego. They're what a very local part of society, i.e the people you are directly interacting with at the moment, expect how you should behave. You intuitively internalize it.
As everyone in said interaction has his own localized super ego, everyone have their own interpretation of how people expect them to behave.
Usually, it's all smooth as everyone knows their place, but sometimes two people or more have different expectations of how the others and themselves should behave. This is when frames collide.
