New here, why don't I hear alot of these elements being used. Like all those metals in the middle.

Also what's the next building material for the future since Carbon nanotubes are too brittle?

technetium and gadolinium and some others are used a lot in medical imaging
lanthanides are used a lot in magnets and superconductors and as dopants for all kinds of shit

All the stable elements have uses, many in the middle are used in alloys, the lanthanides are often used in electronics, lights, screens...
Basically the only element with practically no use is Rubidium, in the middle row all in the left.

it's useful for atomic clocks and certain glasses and some other niche things, plus it's great for fireworks like strontium
I think the least used non-radioactive element is probably lutetium, it does have a few uses in catalysts and dopants and such but for most purposes it's pretty similar to the other lanthanides while being much more expensive and less abundant so it doesn't get a lot of use

As a technique i think theres lots of improvement still to be had in 3d printing. eg we can print sandstone. Soon complicated composties etc.
