>>12185894It’s not exactly true. Midwits flock to stem because of prestige, and psych because it’s a catchall major for when you’re undecided and don’t want to do stem. CS is popular now due to money and opportunities, so you see more people, smart and dumb, go into it. IT is not the same as CS, but it’s consistent money. Psych doesn’t do a good job at filtering out people with cognition and Bayesian inference classes.
