How to find potential supervisors doing work I'm interested in?

Just scour department websites? Everyone seems to have the same sort of descriptions.

Just read through papers? Having trouble finding anything good, maybe I need better keywords to search.

FWIW I'm torn between applying to experimental quantum computing (particularly topological research) and anything that involves applying ML to data analysis.
