For me, quantum immortality easily takes the cake. Imagine being aging and rotting and always sick and miserable until the heat death of the universe in 10^100 years.

Quantum immortality assumes there is a discrete boundary between life and death. I think if you were to actually “cheat” death multiple times (e.g. surviving a shotgun blast to the head or a sizeable explosion) you’d find the boundary is fuzzier than we assume under normal circumstances. Either way it’s just popsci to keep the midwits entertained.

And Roko’s Basilisk is pretty hard to take that seriously anyway. If it were a real possibility, I think a robot already would have time traveled and tortured people.

On the other hand, if MWI is true, it’s hard to see how quantum immortality wouldn’t also be true.

Time travel being impossible doesn't necessarily means roko's basilisk is impossible.
Although more generally a computer generated hell is a pretty terrifying idea. Seen how gleeful abr*Hamic sociopaths are when talking about hell? Imagine if they both realized it wasn't real and know how it could be made to be real. Or any other demented human, or alien. Sentient beings can be pretty fucking awful.
