Element 116 has a theoretical isotope that matches the descriptions of what Lazar was talking about.
If it was actually the 116 isotope being misidentified as 115, it would fit perfectly.
His statement about gravitons being garbage was pretty spot on, but you've only listed detractions, and appear quite biased by doing so.
I don't contest the rest of your detractions though.
I want to believe Lazar's claims, but at the same time, maybe it's because I can't fathom the level of psychopathy one would need to carry the con for three decades.
He just really doesn't seem sinister.
