Computer science. At moment there is more job prospects for programmers than for chemists, and it looks that it will be so for next 10 years. "Nice job" is kinda meme. If will chose path for programmer, most likely life will be kinda miserable, but still will be able to pay for your bills. If path for chemist, then life will be less miserable (as generally there is less stress), IF you will manage to find a job where to apply that degree. Take a look at local job search site, which professions are more in demand and what their salaries are. Among Computer Science professionals there is quite high burnout rate, but generally their salary is above average in general economy.
