So wtf is DNA and how did it develop? It doesn't seem natural to me.

DNA is a polymer made of deoxyribose, a nucleobase and phosphate intenucleosidic linkage.
Adenine is paired with Thymine, Guanine is paired with Cytosine.

DNA is used to store the genetic information. It represent a more stable version than RNA (RNA is sensitive to hydrolysis).

The development of genetic polymer is still a matter of debate. We believe than DNA "developed" after RNA and was used to store the genetic information.

RNA can form more diverse secondary structures, and is also able to catalyze some reactions. We believe RNA was the first bio-polymer, developed initially by condensation ribo-nucleotide... until a first strand able to catalyze its templated replication appears.

So far, we don't know any short RNA strand able to catalyze its templated replications...
Some people believe another bio-polymer was developed before RNA (such as TNA), but I personally don't believe that...

Well, we're getting closer to showing how one could be made. The last paper I read about this was https://doi.org/10.1073/pnas.1610103113 and it seems that it's a very feasible thing to do, although this might involve a lengthy strand and has so far been difficult to pin down something that can self-replicate with substantial efficiency and expediency.

I know the huge expanse of time is difficult to get into our guts....but man the amount of time evolution did its thing is the one thing that always makes me feel like I just 'need to believe'.

I have read papers on parallel evolution and understand it but even then, they seem to address more of a "time enough once you have the ability to encode information and replicate it without error" more than including that very evolution itself (like the OP question).

Again, I'm agnostic/atheist so I'm not reaching for any design argument. But I wouldn't be surprised if Panspermia ended up being how life seeded here (And it would solve the time issue for me).

But seriously though, DNA is a really simple molecule and I don't know why does it seem unnatural to you.
Polymers are simple and stable, DNA compounds were found in meteorites, so the molecule could easily emerge spontaneously.
If you think DNA is unnatural, see ATPase, which is in fact still natural.

Usually in presance of carbon and nitrogen dna forms on spaceship launch by cold plasma exhaust from the engine. That's how life is created on various planets, different planets, same nitrogen and carbon, same dna, engine start is something like install life, when somebody goes to the planet to get samples of local abiotic conditions and then generations later they compare what kind of life evolved from this mix.

Viruses such as HIV use reverse transcriptase - it translates RNA to DNA, which suggests some organisms/replicators were able to translate RNA into DNA.
RNA is also more suitable for prebiotic conditions than DNA - as RNA can spontaneously fold and form ribozymes.

Also isn't this suspicious it's RNA that's translated into proteins, not DNA?
This suggests RNA, ribosomes and proteins could exist before DNA existed.
This could mean RNA created DNA to store information in a more stable form.

I remember reading that ATP had been found by stellar spectroscopy analysis like 10 years ago but I cannot find the specific article about it. However there is this other article that analyzed meteorites https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3161613/
