I will start to write my thesis in the next couple of months. My field is mostly related to international relations, but I don't have a topic to write about, yet.
Inspire me with fields in international politics, sociology and/or practical development work that you would like to see researched.

Bruh I’m not saying either side is good or bad. The liberal party in Japan is right-wing by American standards. Look at what they stand for, and who their main opponents are.

Personally I think America’s government could stand to move further left, but staunch conservatism seems to work for some other countries.

I think you are mistaking their collectivist society for their government. “Social safety” policies are popular because everyone looks out for each other, and things like universal healthcare are just common sense in most countries. This doesn’t mean the government isn’t fiscally conservative, and it says nothing about their level of social freedom. Drugs, gay marriage, and sex-positivity are not popular.

I was thinking about something in this direction. But to correct you on a popular misinformation: Water conflicts are often solved by international contracts, either bi-literal or under supervision of a international institution and are therefore, empirically, not a real, likely cause of war. E.g.: Arrangements between India and Pakistan on the use of the Indus weren't even broken during their wars. Of course this could change in the future, but empirically...

I also tend to do more research on the following questions until I decide for one topic:
1. Which health system is the best to provide universal quality healthcare?
2: Which political coalitions reduce poverty most effective?
3: What policys can be made to support healthier choices? (e.g. food)
