We thought of recording our own voice counting 600(60x10;10 minutes,as advised by soviet researcher dr buteyko)so we can measure whether there is REAL tired-ness or not. Is this a very smart method or does it have drawback such as the counting itself slowing the process of falling asleep? We have fell asleep to an audio-book recording before.

We are getting a bit obsessed with self improvement,micro managing and multi-tasking,so this is important for us.
