Jut out of curiosity, what are the symptoms of "post-finasteride syndrome"? And how long did you take finasteride?

Yes I'll give some more information.

Took finasteride for 2 years 1mg/day. The side effects came very slowly, only after 1 year it was really noticable. At first I only had watery sperm and lower libido but it got worse and worse.

In the end I got these side effects:
-brain fog, having trouble finding the right words, holding conversations
-No libido, only with manual stimulation I get erections
-Premature ejaculation
-Anhedonia, no motivation or drive in life, being a zombie like person.

Quit to drug for 5 years now and still have most of these side effects, although I've learned to live with them, but quality of life is obviously shit and starting a relationship with these problems is doomed imo.

I tried various test boosters like tribulus and other herbs but to no avail.

My only recovery was with arimidex (it's an estrogen blocker), got completely cured for 1 week but sadly couldn't replicate this...

Get hormones checked, the drug works by turning off your AR receptors this is bad because it fucks with all your DHT when only the conversion of excess DHT in the scap needs to be stopped and you need DHT to basically be a man its 5x more potent than testosterone find something that does the opposite like whatever lesbians take to become trannies and use their regimen. Steroids might alone might help.

Doctors often over prescribe finasteride you only need like .2 for effects any more then that causes side effects sooner and for longer.
Never take it again either its turns into a woman and actually can shrink your dick.

Did the doctor who prescribed you finasteride mention those side-effects or were you already aware of them by doing your own research and decided to take the risk anyway?

How old were you when you decided to take it by the way?

Also try things that can actually help raise testosterone like a physical activity with aggression like boxing and actually sparing. Weight lifting a high protein diet with testosterone precursor foods like broccoli with proper amino acids. High doses of d3 and getting plenty of sun with as much skin as possible exposed. A higher risk activity like sky diving to for adrenaline going.

Good dose of lsd or magic mushrooms they are shown to reset the brain.

Lastly, you could try water fasting. Really resets the body. I fasted for ~7 days, and after the 2 day mark it's really quite easy. No idea what finasteride is or how it's metabolized, but perhaps it's resulted in some sort of buildup or regional net depletion of something.

No the dermatologist didn't say anything about side effects. Although I did read about them online but I trusted the Mercks studies saying it only affects a small percentage of men...I strongly doubt this now I've researched and looked into all of this.

Was 23 when I started taking fina.

Yeah I tried eating healthy and going to the gym but didn't really help me unfortunately. Also did a fast but had to stop after 3 days maybe I'll try that again, but I don't know if this will help.

And yeah I'm taking dopa mucuna right now to raise DOPA but so far didn't help.

Have you had any blood tests done? do you exercise, eat a healthy diet and get 8 hours sleep?

No point in using clomid, nolvadex is just better. Also don't start with hcg, nolva would probably be enough, plus if you use hcg you'd also need an anti-estrogen with it.

Hey there. I took it for 5 years. And quit cold turkey when I heard the news stories about it.

Big mistake.

My testes swelled up and were super sensitive for about a week. My libido never came back.

What sucks the most is that when I was on the drug, I would occasionally take a half dose if I was running out before I could get to pharmacy.

My sex drive always came roaring back when i lowered the dosage. But I think quitting it cold turkey shocked my endocrine system, and caused something into to break.

So, no, you'll never "recover." But you can use things like Viagra and hormone replacement therapy to keep an active sex life. I've also found that regular work outs increases my sex drive and intensity of orgasms. Just not quite as much as before I took the drug.
