Look up 'sinoatrial node' and 'cardiac myocyte escape beat' and you'll learn that the muscle cells in your heart can autonomously take control and beat themselves if the (already) autonomous pacemaker in your heart ever fails. Although you can influence your heart beat (unconsciously I may add, although I do not discount the possibility for conscious control of the autonomic nervous system), there is no way you can make it stop beating unless you directly damage your cardiac myocytes, in which case you wouldn't be sitting there typing your Comment on 4chan
