So I first thought of this concept yesterday while talking with someone about art sensitivity and how each person is more or less sensitive to art of course, but also the type of art you're sensitive too vary
You can be sensible to litterature for exemple, or music, or visual arts like paintings, etc
And we can say that theses art trigger different senses
plus one special type that is no a sense
take music, it uses your audio perception
visual arts, your video perception
and both these perceptions are coming from organs, the ears and the eyes
and then there is, the language
which is not a sense, but it link to an organ of your body, the brain
the language is something manmade, and the main point of language is that it helps us convert things from the external words to symbols. The language is before anything else a symbolic representation of the external world

let me introduce you the "Physical Energy"
It's just energy basically, but I context it as Physical Energy here to oppose it to Perceptual Energy, which I will describe later
and physical energy can be many thing, Thermic, Electric, Electromagnetic, among other
I took these 3 examples to introduce you to another concept
Energy Conversion
You know this one already. I will tell you an example
electricity go through a bulb, the bulb then converts electric energy(electricity) into electromagnetic energy (light) and thermic energy(heat)
so now
Im gonna tell you the exciting thing
Energy Conversion apply to Perceptual Energy
which means
if you receive an audio signal, let's say someone talking to you, you will probably convert this signal to language
by the way, I will precise that I believe human thought are not limited to language, for example I think a lot with images, sounds, and even physical feelings
