I've been introduced to the concept of back-EMF on my Electrical Engineering course. I have to answer a multiple-choice question on "Which of the following will NOT generate a back-EMF?" And the possible answers are a) Motor b) Resistor c)Relay and D) Solenoid.
The Solenoid seems simple enough to me that it will generate a back-EMF as it contains a Coil. Have tried researching online whether Motors/Resistors/Relays are likely to generate back-EMF - but no results so far. Can anyone help?
