Why do scientists prop up complete pseudoscience like Extra Dimensions?

There is absolutely zero evidence supporting extra/higher dimensions. None of the best and most accurate theories incorporate or even predict higher dimensions whatsoever.

Only string theory does. How did the string theory cult take over science when literally none of it has been substantiated, ever?
