Why do people actually think that hydrogen as a fuel is a good idea?
Also why do people also think that everyone should get electric car chargers?
Do they have no idea how much infrastructure building needs to be done before such a plan is even remotely viable?

fx there isnt enough lithium in the world for electric the other battery types that are as good or better can be shaken or moved cuz they explode on the spot

but the problem with hydrogen isnt that the cars will explode its that some retard will light a cigarette on a gas station

and kill 600 people in 1 second

The hydrogen in a fuel cell car would ideally never leave the car. The hydrogen is not a fuel, it is an energy storage medium. Fueling your car would mean plugging it in like normal.

As to infrastructure, if you want fast charging stations everywhere, sure, that's a lot. However, it would be pretty trivial to have widespread AC charging. The infrastructure already exists, we just need to install access points and cables, which are relatively cheap. Its consumer grade equipment.

You dont need to replace the whole wiring, just add an access point. Consumer grade devices will be a 20-30 amp draw. Even old homes are wired for at least 60, and modern ones are wired for 200-250.

on a theoretical level, sure. on a practical level, no. when you go to fill up your fuel cell car, you're not loading new H2 and O2 straight from a tank into your car, you're using electricity to generate them on the spot. the outside source of energy that provides power for your car is the power plant running the grid, in the same way that the outside source of power running your ICE vehicle is the oil we pulled out of the ground.
