Girls in subjects like archaeology are among tonnes of geeks so they tend to be pretty self-confident because they get hit on by lots of guys. They're not IT geeks though, it's a different breed.
I don't think they were any more or less attractive than other girls, they had the whole range.
There were quite a lot of girls in the Egyptology classes in my uni for some reason.
