i see a lot of newfag sabineposters and wolframposters, also brain-cancerous garyposters lately. i guess you could throw some other idiots in this mix like Garrett Lisi or Nassim Haramein, but fortunately they don't have a following here. but let's do a comparison of physics bloggers/alt-popsci figures
but what about Lubos?
personally
>Lubos: expert string theorist, was Harvard high-energy theory professor, PhD under Tom Banks, lots of citations, contributed hugely to Wikipedia, contributed hugely on SE and quora, left academia out of spite, loves bitcoin
>all the other bloggers/alt-popsci people
>basically did jack shit. Wolfram wrote a thesis under Feynman, cool, but left physics right after grad school and did compsci, yawn. Weinstein, got a good PhD from uh... Princeton, but went right from grad school into finance, yawn. Sabine, basically a nothing. Lisi, worse than nothing -- he was a biophysics PhD who larped his way into it. Gary, total brainlet, absolutely no credentials, except a past track record as a conman with his various failed sales pitches like "Angleball".
scientifically
>Lubos: believes in string theory, like the rest of the top mainstream theoretical physicists
>Everyone else: some pussy menstrual ranting about "noooo string theory bad"
politically
>Lubos: staunch conservative, basically a huge douche, calls out muslims and women. And basically anyone who is somewhat liberal to him is a marxist.
>Everyone else: totally liberal and yay women and yay diversity
>Except Weinstein: crypto alt-right jew for some reason? unclear. maybe ties to Thiel?
>And except Wolfram: he supports diversity, but no women work for him
>Sabine and Gary are not exceptions, they try to be edgy but just total women and diversity
>Except Gary who posts rappers who are obviously mysogynists
>But that's acceptable
can we start being a Lubos board?
