That's now how it works at all. Evolution produces tandem mutations that may or may not reproduce. Anxiety defienatly hurts your chances of reproducing so it's less beneficial. Just because you have something doesn't mean it's beneficial. Cystic fibrosis is a genetic mutation that makes it hard for you to breathe. Would you like that mutation? Of course not, not all mutations are good but over time the good mutation expand while bad ones go away.
