“Bettering the world” is complicated. If you invent a new technology that improves quality of life, is the slave/working class actually benefiting? Probably not; it’s more like manipulation toward keeping them docile. Most improvements to the world only benefit privileged leeches who are handsome (relevant because it means an easy-mode life of all pleasure and no suffering) and go to uni so they can live in luxury while “working” fake “jobs.” No one who works a real job is benefiting from their own survival, as they are merely tools to be used and discarded by the privileged. If you’re talking about improving the world it must necessarily involve the removal of privilege and quality of life from the lowest and most parasitic humans and transferring it to the respectable people who actually work and suffer.
