GPA literally doesn't matter as long as it's above the financial aid threshhold, and so you should never, ever bother with any assignments, only exams.
The free time to learn new valuable skills on your own(foreign language, programming etc) and other productive extracurricular activities, is of far greater utility than spending that time earning a high GPA.
