Pretty lame. Once the honeymoon phase wears off, you realize that 90% of students are apathetic and just want to get their passing grade and move on. Easy work at least, but shit pay. And absolutely do not make a career out of it.

I like it. As a TA (and not main lecturer), I have very little to prepare: I recap the lecture and help them solve problems. It’s mostly fun. I think as long as you know your shit and enjoy explaining things, students will like it.
The only annoying part is grading their terrible tests and exams. And teaching on Zoom is a bitch.
