fire, air, water, maybe aether, make sense as elements from a light observation of the world, but Earth is obviously a composition. Or is "earth" just a component of dirt like clay and all the plant and rock shit mixed in is impurities in earth?
you can cool down air to different very low temperatures and get different liquids at different temperatures (Co2, oxygen, nitrogen)
how are these basic, core elements so easily demonstrated to be made of more pure materials?
how does gold and bronze fit in to this? you cant break those down into these elements
is fire a material or just generic heat/energy/light?
why the assignments for the different elements to different elements? I can kind of see earth and water as like minecraft and a ball pit, but fire, air, and aether could easily be swapped around and make just as much sense.
the corners on an octahedron and icosahedron have more than 3 edges per corner, so it could easiy be argued that you are missing some edge-to-edge's when adding up all the angles
for an RPG magic system these are fun tho, but to mix it up and solve these issues i would replace earth with some kind of meta-metal and drop the geometry relationship. Air and water can pretty easily be assumed to be a pure element. Make sure the fire kind of energy doesnt overlap with the aether kind of energy
