At a christmas party i entertained a group of about 10 people by explaining how gene therapy works since its my field and made like 3 friends that night and someone complemented me to my boyfriend. I'm still riding on that high. Its easy to feel like your knowledge is unimpressive when your surrounded with people in your field but its still specialized knowledge that about 85% of people have no clue about it and often find impressive if you take the time to share your passion for it.
