Ehhh, Aristotle was one of the first empiricists so technically /sci/ but Aristotelian physics is compeltely wrong. But I probably couldn't have come up with anything nearly as intelligent as he did so it's a pretty big accomplishment. The Theory of Forms is also pretty cool but then we'd have to have a discussion on if metaphysics is even valid, I like to think so but ehhh. Anyways ya I think the ancient greeks are /sci/ approved but that doesn't really mean much considering /sci/ is kinda a shit board.

Is psychology a science? For example consider how we define a disorder. Part of it is a person being deviant from the norm. So people should be put on expensive meds just because they're abnormal? The natural philosophers just argued from first principles instead of doing actual experiments. Basically we had to wait until gallileo and william gilbert before empiricism was actually recognized as the correct way to do things.
